Editing Equipment and Software

For the editing process there are various different types of equipment and software we will need to use to get the best outcome possible. Also software to design the other parts - poster and magazine cover - and software to create things for the trailer such as soundtrack.

• The biggest bit of equipment for this process is the computer. We will use a mixture between the Apple Mac computers for the majority of the editing, and also just standard desktop computers/laptops.

• Next is the video editing software we will use which is Final Cut Pro. This is installed on the Apple Macs at school and so is available for use to us at any point. It is straight forward to use but will give a professional high quality finish to our trailers.

• For our soundtrack and music we will mostly use GarageBand, again some software on the Apple Macs. This allows us to create our own original material, but also use sound effects and more from GarageBand's own library.

 

• For the image editing, we will use PhotoShop which is something we are both familiar with using and so will give the best end product.
